I like the aspect of the platform ladder for our diving trips. Right now we have the ladder that we drop down for our re-entry back on the boat. But with our dive gear still on, we have to have one hand on the ladder during rough seas, and the other is pulling off our gear and tossing it onto the boat.
I wonder how deep the platform is below the surface of the water - that might be the only issue for using as a dive ladder.

Hi Jane,
The ladder you mention - http://www.savvyboater.com/p-5989-dive-n-dog-folding-stair-double-platform-ladder.aspx is 30" high and would typically be mounted on top of you swim platform. The depth of the platform would depend on the height and thickness of your swim platform. The ladder can also be mounted with optional quick mount brackets for easy removal when not needed.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Loren.
I'll check with my dive buddy to see what he thinks. I throw a line out off the back that we can hold on to, and I know he would like to get rid of that.
Thanks again
Jane

Nice ones! I'd like to see those boat ladders. I'm specifically looking for ones which are best for import boats (from Europe). I'm currently looking for quality boating equipment for my next vacation. My boat has already gone through CE marking services so I'm ready for more customizations.
